Community Engagement: SmartBay Marine & Renewable Energy Test Site

BlueWise Marine developed a Community Engagement Strategy for the SmartBay Marine & Renewable Energy Test Site and provides the test site’s stakeholders with a framework for engaging with local communities. 

From our experience, we recognise that awareness and understanding of all Test Site activities is essential to develop trust and support with local communities. We believe this can be achieved through clear, open and engaging communication through a variety of channels, on a regular basis. Early community engagement is critical to the success of any marine project and it should be prioritised throughout its lifetime.
